In 1988, Metallica recovered from the bassist Cliff Burton's death to unleash '...And Justice For All.'

Although it sometimes seems as if they forgot to plug new recruit Jason Newsted's gear into the mixing board, the album takes the complex songwriting of their previous two classics to some interesting new places, particularly on the slow-building wounded soldier epic 'One.'

But as any fan will tell you, that's not your only choice for best '...And Justice for All' song. There's also the pulverizing 'Blackened,' which has become the band's typical set-opening song in recent years, the strutting 'Harvester Of Sorrow' and the Burton tribute 'To Live is to Die.'

We'd choose... but hey, we didn't draw 'The Shortest Straw,' you did. Now get to work!
