Meat Loaf has set an official release date for Braver Than We Are, his long-in-the-works reunion with producer/songwriter Jim Steinman.

The new album, previously on target for release last fall, finds Meat Loaf singing 10 new Steinman compositions — and reuniting with vocalists Ellen Foley and Karla DeVito, both previously associated with his classic hit "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." Now scheduled to arrive in stores Sept. 16, Braver Than We Are is available for pre-order on CD or limited-edition autographed vinyl. Check out the complete track listing below.

Steinman hasn’t produced a Meat Loaf album since 1993’s Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, the belated sequel to 1977’s multi-platinum Bat Out of Hell. While it's unknown whether he was involved in Braver Than We Are beyond writing the material, it's clear the project is intended as a full-circle statement of sorts; when he announced the album in early 2015, Meat Loaf mused, "I can’t think of a better way to round out my music career than having another opportunity to work once again with songwriters I so admire."

News of Braver Than We Are's impending release comes after a scary moment for fans who feared for Meat Loaf's health when he collapsed during a concert on June 16. A representative for the singer has since said he's "stable and in good condition."
