We knew Marky Ramone could keep the beat, but we never suspected he might also be an inventor.

The former Ramones drummer shows off his inner Thomas Edison in a new comedy short for the College Humor spin-off CH2. Titled "Solution for A--holes Who Hold Up Phones at Concerts," it begins with a reenactment of a scenario many of us know all too well — standing behind a bozo who's watching the entire show through his phone — and then reveals Marky's unique way of solving the problem.

Without giving anything away, we can reveal that the solution presented in the video — which you can watch above — seems pretty satisfying, at least in a controlled environment where you're sure you aren't going to end up getting stabbed or sued for the cost of a replacement. It's definitely also worth pointing out that the clip was actually written and produced by Alex Scordelis, a writer, director and sketch comedian at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre whose previous credits include Insane Clown Posse Theatre.

Marky has been fairly busy lately promoting his new memoir, Punk Rock Blitzkrieg: My Life as a Ramone, and will presumably discuss the book during his recently announced appearance on the upcoming 14th season of That Metal Show.
