Slaughter frontman Mark Slaughter has released a video to go with the title track to his latest solo outing, Halfway There. Watch it above.

Released earlier this year, Halfway There marks Slaughter's debut for Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's EMP imprint, and continues the solo path the singer has charted since striking out on his own with 2015's Reflections in a Rear View Mirror. While there are differences in his approach without the rest of Slaughter involved, he's promised that fans of the band will find plenty of what they like on the new LP.

"I have been friends with Mark for over 30 years, since he was in Vinnie Vincent Invasion, and there’s a lot of shared history. So when we started talking about the idea of putting this record out, yes, it was a great and natural fit," Ellefson enthused. "Mark is such a tremendous talent and songwriter, and the scope of that is truly evident on Halfway There."

The sessions also gave Slaughter a chance to show off his guitar chops after years of being known primarily for his singing. "It was nice to be able to think as a lead player, rather than just as a songwriter," he told Guitar World. "But as a guitarist I tried to do what the song asked for, as opposed to what I can do as a player. To me, the melodic structure of the song is always its most important part."
