The grand opening of Lynyrd Skynyrd's BBQ and Beer is quickly approaching. The new restaurant, which will open in early December inside the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, will offer a variety of good eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will also offer a wide selection of adult beverages.

As the name implies, the menu will feature mouth-watering barbecue from the 111-year-old Kreuz Market in Lockhart, Texas, which is best known for its brisket and sausage. The barbecue is expected to be served "carvery style," allowing guests to move down the service line quickly and efficiently.

BBQ and Beer will also offer a variety of beverages, including handcrafted and freshly made cocktails, as well as a "shot menu" and specialty drinks made with Jack Daniels brand liquor, matching the concept of the Southern barbecue theme perfectly.

One major perk that will set Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ and Beer apart from other Vegas eateries is the fact that the average dinner check is expected to be in the $25 price range, including a beverage.

In addition to the impressive menu selection, BBQ and Beer will also host live music nightly in the 8,000-square-foot venue, which may even include Lynyrd Skynyrd from time to time.

“It’s the kind of place that we’d like to hang out at,” Skynyrd frontman, Johnny Van Zant tells The Daily Meal. “With Southern-style barbecue and great music, this will be the perfect spot for rock and barbecue fans to kick back and have a great time in Vegas.”
