Led Zeppelin Cover Featured In ‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ Title Sequence

The David Fincher-directed 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' is shaping up to be one of the hottest and most anticipated movies of the winter season, and music fans are certainly looking forward to the soundtrack and score, featuring a cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song' and other music from Trent Reznor of the modern-rock act Nine Inch Nails and his partner, Atticus Ross.

Reznor won an Academy Award for his scorework for 'The Social Network' (he's pictured above with his Oscar and his 'Network' partner Ross) and he could very well be on track for a repeat. One of the first clips to surface is a creepy video filled with dark and distorted images of what looks like liquid metal with a blue sheen, with Reznor and Yeah Yeah Yeah's singer Karen O's cover of the Zeppelin classic.

The video, which went live on Pitchfork, is a collage created by Fincher for the film's title sequence. The song is given a post-modern, industrially-tinged update, as machine grinds against machine. The most recognizable part of the song is the "A-ah-ahh-ah, ah-ah-ahh-ah" part. But other than that, it's been retooled and fits the images.

The coldness of the video is offset by the blooming flower at the very end, which you can see above.
