Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett’s love of the horror genre has been long documented and now the company that he founded is paying homage to their boss with a brand new action figure molded in his likeness.

Kirk Von Hammett Toys has just announced the production of a Kirk Hammett zombie action figure to be released at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Only 300 of the toys are being produced as an event exclusive item in support of the Nuclear Blast USA record label.

The new action figure goes on sale Friday, July 25 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, and on Saturday July 26 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at the Nuclear Blast USA booth at San Diego’s Comic-Con with Hammett on hand to personally autograph each toy sold.

In a post on their Facebook page, Nuclear Blast USA quoted the guitar player’s reaction to the promotion. “I'm stoked to be bringing more exclusive wares to the San Diego Comic-Con," he said. "Nuclear Blast have been friends for quite some time, so I'm happy to be able to bring one of my exclusives to their booth. Being a fan of comics and movies since I was a kid, it's just a huge honor to be at Comic-Con on both sides, selling and buying!"

This isn’t Hammett’s first foray into the realm of super-exclusive product. Last month, the guitarist, along with the rest of his band cranked out a limited number of t-shirts to commemorate their controversial turn as headliners of the Glastonbury music festival in the U.K. The all-black shirts were emblazoned with negative quotes from from Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys, who said, “I’m not sure it adds up…could you have Metallica in the hippy nucleus?” to the Guardian’s cry of “Whoopee-f—ing-doo.”
