Jon Bon Jovi and his family have been in the headlines over the past week as his daughter was arrested after a heroin overdose, but the rocker is moving forward after the difficult week and is thankful for all the support he and his family have received.

The singer, speaking with Los Angeles Fox affiliate reporter Courtney Friel, explained, "What I do for a living seems glitzy and glamorous, but if you don't take it too seriously, it's a great way to make a living. And then life goes on, things happen."

Bon Jovi would add, "This tragedy was something that I had to face too, so we'll get through it. And people's warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring, so, we're good."

Bon Jovi have spent much of 2012 off the grid while they worked on a new record, but have now announced their 2013 tour plans as well as the title of their forthcoming release, 'What About Now,' which is expected next spring.
