Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has collaborated with British singer Terry Reid for a new solo song titled "I'll Do Happiness." You can check it out above.

“I’m excited to get it out there," Perry told Classic Rock (which premiered the song). "I had a really great time just hanging with Terry. He’s a really ‘up’ guy, and he’s a class act in the studio. He writes the lyrics on the spot and he just nails the vocals."

Part of an upcoming solo project that Perry at first thought would focus solely on instrumentals, "I'll Do Happiness" might not be the record's only high-profile collaboration. Perry has already recorded with David Johansen, and might also bring in Alice Cooper, Perry's bandmate in the Hollywood Vampires.

Reid has been a consistent presence in rock music, even if he never had a breakout hit in the States. He served as an opening act for the Rolling Stones, Cream, Fleetwood Mac and Jethro Tull during their prime. He's also worked as a sessions musician with Don Henley and Jackson Browne, among others. He co-wrote a song with Graham Nash that was later adapted and recorded by Nash for the Hollies as well as Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Reid is also the person who suggested Robert Plant to Jimmy Page when the guitarist was looking for a singer for his new band, which would be called Led Zeppelin.

"I had friends who would go to England every summer and bring back piles of albums, and so I was lucky enough to know about [Reid] and when I heard him I thought his voice was incredible," Perry told Classic Rock. "So he came in and we got to know each other a little bit and played some tunes, and wrote some songs, and he was just great to work with."
