Jethro Tull leader Ian Anderson will return to North America next year to celebrate his famous band's golden anniversary with the "Ian Anderson Presents: Jethro Tull - 50th Anniversary Tour."

The tour begins on May 30 at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix and concludes on Sept. 11 at New York's Beacon Theatre. Anderson will also play Europe throughout April and during breaks in the North American schedule. The announcement recommends that all attendees be in their seats five minutes prior to the announced starting time, adding, "Latecomers may not be admitted to their seats until a suitable gap in the performance."

Tickets for most dates go on sale on Friday, Nov. 17 at 10AM local time. For complete details, visit Jethro Tull's website.

Anderson is the only founding member involved with this tour. According to the band's website, his current lineup includes guitarist Florian Opahle, bassist David Goodier, keyboardist and orchestral conductor John O'Hara and drummer Scott Hammond.
