Jeff Beck will team up with Brian Wilson for an 18-date tour this fall. The run begins on Sept. 27 in Florida before working up the East Coast and then zigzagging across the country for a final date on Oct. 27 in Akron. Wilson's fellow Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks will also join him onstage.

During an interview with USA Today, Beck discussed the concerts. "He's got a truckload of hits to play, but we'll build on that and interact," the guitarist said. "Brian will kick things off, but I'll also be given enough time to establish what I'm about. In the end, we'll mix and match. It's a complete honor to be onstage with him."

Beck is a longtime fan of Wilson and the Beach Boys. The two legends first teamed up in 2006, when Beck jammed with Wilson on 'Surf's Up' and 'Surfin' USA' at MusiCares' Person of the Year ceremony. The pair will also collaborate on Wilson's upcoming album, which features Jardine and Marks. There isn't an official release date for the project, but Wilson started work on the record soon after concluding the Beach Boys' 50th-anniversary tour last year.

"Jeff is one of the most amazing guitarists I’ve ever worked with, and his vibe is inspiring,” Wilson said in a press release. “We’ve got some new tunes we want to try out on a live crowd, as well as doing some great music from our catalogs.”

Tickets for the tour will go on sale Aug. 9 through Ticketmaster.
