One of the more tragic losses of the year was the death of former Warrant singer Jani Lane, whose body was discovered in a hotel room in Woodland Hills, Calif., on Aug. 11. Just 47 years old, Lane died of "acute ethanol poisoning" after a long battle with alcohol addiction. Warrant are best known for Lane-sung hits like 'Cherry Pie' and the ballad 'Heaven.'
