Not sure if the new Jane's Addiction album is worth your time and money? Give it a listen before deciding. The band has just opened up 'The Great Escape Artist' for streaming at iTunes. It will remain a free stream -- no strings attached -- until the album's release date on Oct. 18.

"We are psyched that people will have a chance to hear our whole album before they buy it and we applaud iTunes for standing up for great audio too," guitarist Dave Navarro says in a band press release. The stream has been optimized for iTunes. Fans aren't able to listen to it track by track. You have to listen to the full 40 minute project.

'The Great Escape Artist' is the band's fourth studio album, the first since 2003's 'Strays.' TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek helped produce the album, but he won't be touring with the band. Instead bassist Chris Chaney will round out the foursome when they begin a run of four shows in Florida, New York and New Jersey next week.
