Longtime musical partners Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen are bringing Hot Tuna to the East Coast for a round of tour dates next month.

The first batch of shows, which will see Casady and Kaukonen performing as an acoustic duo, begin July 9 in Ogunquit, Maine and continue through July 14, when they wrap the duo portion of the tour in Norfolk, Ct.; for select shows during this leg, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams — currently out promoting their new self-titled effort — will add their own set.

Starting July 16, Casady and Kaukonen add drummer Justin Guip for a run of Electric Hot Tuna Trio shows that starts in Newark, N.J. and concludes three days later in Patchogue, N.Y. Check out the complete list of dates below.

This latest tour adds another chapter to an enduring partnership that started when the duo, then bandmates in Jefferson Airplane, started Hot Tuna as a rootsier side project in 1969. "It just made sense for us," Kaukonen told Huffington Post earlier this year. "And I think musically speaking, we felt at home in that milieu. I mean, thank God we have the Americana concept, the Americana milieu. A lot of people are doing that stuff these days. It's not the stuff of Miley Cyrus. Hey, speaking of that, I was so excited to learn the word 'twerking.' I had no idea. ... We had other words for that stuff, but twerking wasn't one of them."
