In the semifinal round of voting for this month's Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame inductee, Heart and 38 Special emerged victorious -- but there's still one more round to get through, and now they'll have to face each other to determine the winner.

Heart defeated Boston in the semifinals, handily winning with a little over 60 percent of the vote, while 38 Special fought Sammy Hagar to a virtual draw, squeaking by with just over 50 percent. Now it's time for Ultimate Classic Rock readers to see how they fare one-on-one.

While they may not have a lot in common in terms of their sound, both bands have spent decades in the rock 'n' roll trenches, emerging during the mid-'70s and enjoying early success before weathering the '80s with a combination of clever videos, Top 40-friendly singles, and the occasional bit of power balladry. Entering statesman status during the '90s, both Heart and 38 Special have continued to tour steadily, and while neither band records as often as they did during their respective commercial peaks, they continue to release new music; Heart's most recent album, 'Fanatic,' came out in 2012, while 38 Special issued its 12th studio LP, 'Drivetrain,' in 2004.

This is a tough choice, but it's one that will be decided purely by the fans, who can vote once an hour between now and Sunday, June 29th at 11:59PM Eastern. The next inductee into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame will be announced on June 30. Be sure to read our official rules.
