Gregg Allman will release a new album and DVD, Live: Back to Macon, GA, on Aug. 7. The concert discs were culled from a Jan. 14, 2014, performance at the Grand Opera House.

The two-disc album and DVD include much of the same material; the video also features some interviews with Allman, who recorded the shows with his eight-piece solo band in front of an intimate audience of about 1,000 fans.

The track listing, which you can see below, includes many favorites from over the years, including "Statesboro Blues," "Whipping Post" and "Melissa' from his days as the Allman Brothers Band singer.

The concert was held in a theater that was built way back in 1884. The city has a long history with Allman: Macon is where the Allman Brothers got their start in the late '60s.

Allman is currently out on the road for another solo tour. In between these two jaunts, he played a series of farewell shows with his longtime band. The Allman Brothers played their last concerts in October. Allman's solo tour continues into September.
