While some of us might still like to think of the guys in Rush as being musical wizards who exist out of time, they're actually regular guys who enjoy regular guy things -- like baseball fan Geddy Lee, who had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the Toronto Blue Jays' home opener on Tuesday (April 2).

As we previously reported when his appearance was announced, Lee's a Blue Jays season ticket holder and avid fantasy baseball player; although his musical commitments forced his love of the game to take a back seat earlier in his career, these days he's able to exert a little more control over his free time, which means getting to show up for events like opening night (as you can see in the clip embedded above).

Geddy and the band will be on the road throughout the year on their newly expanded Clockwork Angels Tour, including a series of dates that will place Rush in prime baseball cities like Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Kansas City while the boys of summer are still chasing their respective pennants. In other words, don't be surprised if you catch Lee in the stands before a show.
