Foreigner's tour will begin on July 11 at the Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse, N.Y. They will play sheds and amphitheaters throughout the country before wrapping it up on Sept. 9 at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, Wash. Opening up for them will be Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience, which will help bring things full circle. Cheap Trick was the opening act on Foreigner's first headlining tour in 1978, and Bonham drummed with the band from 2004-08. Original singer Lou Gramm and two other founding members, rhythm guitarist Ian McDonald and keyboardist Al Greenwood, are expected to sit in with the band at an as-yet undetermined date. Tickets go on sale for all dates on Jan. 13 at Live Nation.

In addition to the tour, Foreigner are honoring their history with a two-disc, 40-song compilation that promises new material. Additionally, guitarist Mick Jones is telling the story of the band in a memoir called A Foreigner's Tale. You can learn more about the book at its website.
