Turns out, Los Angeles isn't the only place boasting potential guest stars for a Foo Fighters show. Just days after playing host to a string of big names in California, Dave Grohl and company were joined on stage by Jewel, who sang lead on the Led Zeppelin favorite "Whole Lotta Love" for fans in Phoenix.

“We thought we should do a song together," Grohl said on stage, "so we picked some nice things that we thought would sound good. And then she says to me, ‘I don’t wanna do that.’ She says, ‘I wanna do this.’” Grohl then played the opening riff from “Whole Lotta Love,” to the delight of the crowd at the Ak-Chin Pavilion on Friday (Sept. 25).

Jewel said she had performed her own show earlier in the night, before rushing over to join the Foo Fighters for a moment of improvised classic-rock fun. "Had fun with the Foo Fighters tonight, doing 'Whole Lotta Love,'" she said via Instagram, "even if we didn't have a chance to rehearse."

Jewel joins an overstuffed guest list on this tour that already included Stevie Nicks, Yes’ Jon Davison, members of Haim, Jack Black, Perry Farrell and Chris Chaney of Jane's Addiction, and Gary Clark Jr. The Foo Fighters' current tour continues this week into Albuquerque and Oklahoma City, with stops at Atlanta, Nashville and Memphis set for October.
