It's almost cheating, selecting Fleetwood Mac to represent the letter "F" on our A-Z list of classic rock's best artists. After all, it's almost like choosing several bands at once.

The group formed in London in 1967 as a showcase for guitarist Peter Green, but after quite a few shakeups and lineup changes, the group that most people think of when they hear Fleetwood Mac came together in 1975, when Californians Stevie Nicks and her boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham joined. They continued on as one of the most popular groups of the late '70s, making one of the biggest-selling ('Rumours') and one of the most expensive ('Tusk') albums ever.
