Former Animals and War singer Eric Burdon is releasing a new album entitled 'Til Your River Runs Dry' on Jan. 29, and we are pleased to be able to give you a premiere of 'Old Habits Die Hard,' one of the album's many killer tracks.

Of the track, Burdon says, "In a sense it's not me, it's me playing a part. I tried to put myself into the mind of people I knew in Paris, in '68, who were on the barricades against the police, and recently with the occupy movement. You may know in your heart of hearts that they're losers and they're not gonna win, but who cares, it's the doing that counts."

Musically, 'Old Habits Die Hard' is pure, gritty rock and roll with is driving guitars, pounding drums and rollicking piano. It is vintage yet thoroughly contemporary, as Burdon's voice is in top form delivering the defiant lyric. "When it comes to trouble, I got me a head start. Nothing's changed, I'm still the same, old habits die hard" he sings, and though he claims otherwise, you can't help but feel there's a bit of his own life and thoughts in there.

'Til Your River Runs Dry' will be released Tuesday, January 29 on ABKCO Records, and will be available as CD, LP and download.
