Elton John's "Rocket Man" faces off against Styx's "Come Sail Away" in the quarterfinals of our Rock Star Wars battle.

To try and fill our days between now and the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, we’ve tracked down 32 space-themed classic rock songs and paired them off against each other in a series of intergalactic battles. We're down to eight now. The field will be halved every week based on your votes, until only the spaciest song in rock history is left.

"Rocket Man," one of John's most famous songs, handily defeated first "Watcher of the Skies" by Genesis and then Megadeth's "Hangar 18" to reach the third round. The Top 10 single from 1972 tells the story of a deep-space astronaut who badly misses his family.

Styx's "Come Sail Away," a 1977 smash that tells the story of a sailor who suddenly finds out he's going on a much longer trip than he ever imagined, barely bested Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone From the Sun" in round one, but had a much easier time last week with Deep Purple's "Space Truckin'."

But who gets to move on to the final four? You can listen to both tracks below, and vote once per hour in each of the this round’s Rock Star Wars battles until polls close on Dec. 7 at 11:59PM ET. Your choice for our Rock Star Wars champion will be revealed on Dec. 22, 2015.
