Elton John‘s attorney has fired back against allegations that his client sexually harassed a former security guard, calling the plaintiff’s claims “patently untrue.”

NME reports that Orin Snyder, American counsel for John’s Rocket Entertainment Group, responded to a request for comment with a statement that reads, “This baseless lawsuit is brought by a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment. These claims are patently untrue and contradicted by numerous previous statements made by this plaintiff. We will not give into his latest abuse of the legal system.”

TMZ broke the news of the lawsuit, which alleges a laundry list of inappropriate behavior on John’s part, including twisting the security guard’s nipples while calling him a “gorgeous thing” and ordering him to take out his “todger” and “say hello to Uncle Elton.” There is as yet no word on if or when the case will see see trial.

In the meantime, John remains on the road supporting behind his latest album, Wonderful Crazy Night, with a run of Las Vegas dates scheduled for mid-to-late April followed by a lengthy series of European shows that will keep him on stage through the end of the year.

Wonderful Crazy Night continued John’s lengthy streak of bestselling albums when it arrived in February, breaking the Top 10 in the U.S. and U.K. while sending the record’s first single, “Looking Up,” into the Top 20 of the American adult contemporary chart. He’s also reportedly working on songs with Killers frontman Brandon Flowers for the band’s next album, due later this year.
