The long-running History of the Eagles tour has been given a fresh round of dates that will keep the band on the road well into the summer.

The tour, which launched in 2013 with the premiere of the band documentary of the same name, picks up again May 19 in Austin, Texas — just a few weeks after the group concludes its current run through Australia and New Zealand — and is currently scheduled to conclude with a July 29 stop in Louisiana.

While a follow-up to the band's most recent LP, 2007's double-disc set Long Road Out of Eden, remains well in the distance, 2015 may finally bring the release of Eagles co-founder Don Henley's next solo album, a long-in-the-works collection titled Cass County. Henley said the record was finished back in 2013, hinting that it would offer substantial appeal for longtime fans.

"It’s primarily a record for grown-ups — people who’ve done some living," he said. "It explores the landscape of memory and experience. There are a few cover songs on the album, but most of the content is new, original material."
