If you've been hoping to catch the Eagles on tour this summer, you just might be in luck -- if you're willing to drive to see them. The legendary California rockers have announced a limited number of shows for their 'History of the Eagles' tour, which will kick off July 6 in Louisville, Ky. and wrap up in Bethel, N.Y. on July 25.

The famously tight-lipped group recently rolled out a documentary titled 'History of the Eagles,' which is slated for release on DVD and Blu-ray on April 30. Their upcoming road trek will continue in that vein, featuring songs from across the broad spectrum of the band's career, as well as some of the band members' solo hits.

Singer/drummer Don Henley said in February that the tour “could very well be our last . . . we’re gonna include at least one former band member in this tour and kinda go back to the roots, and how we created some of these songs. We’re gonna break it down to the fundamentals and then take it up to where it is now.”

Though he declined to say which former member he was talking about, rumor has it that the upcoming shows may feature original guitarist Bernie Leadon. A press release announcing the tour did not mention any past members.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 28 at 10AM. An exclusive pre-sale for American Express card members goes on sale Saturday, March 23 at 10 AM. The tour news release described the concerts as the "currently announced" tour dates, so more dates may be revealed soon.
