After his first two solo albums failed to fully set the world on fire, and after "reuniting" with the Rolling Stones for the ultra-successful 'Steel Wheels' album and tour, Mick Jagger took another shot with his 1993 album 'Wandering Spirit.'

Teaming with super-producer Rick Rubin, Jagger delivered his strongest solo collection yet -- managing the delicate double-trick of being diverse and cohesive on tracks like this muscular ballad, 'Don't Tear Me Up.'

Although we find it a hard to muster much sympathy for Jagger as he claims that even the biggest rock stars can get their hearts broken, he delivers the vocals with a conviction missing in recent years.
