A video for Band Aid’s new benefit song in the fight against Ebola has been released, as Bob Geldof welcomes U2‘s Bono and Queen‘s Roger Taylor, along with a new crop of pop stars, to update 1984’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas.’

This remake premiered during the U.K.’s version of ‘X Factor’ yesterday. Geldof told the BBC that the song raised $1.56 million in five minutes. Sinead O’Connor then took to Facebook to talk about her involvement: “An amazing moment to be part of. Buy the track and let’s [put] an end to this virus.”

Fans of the original will note that Bono’s memorable line has been changed from “Tonight, thank God it’s them instead of you” to “Tonight, we’re reaching out and touching you.” Also featured are One Direction, Seal, Ed Sheeran, Angelique Kidjo, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith and Chris Martin from Coldplay. You can watch the video above.

You can also download the track from iTunes here. The physical CD single, due on Dec. 8, is available for $1.29 via pre-order from Virgin EMI here. Or you can pre-order it on Amazon. General donations are being taken at the BandAid30 website, as well.

Midge Ure co-wrote the original ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas,’ and he again helped organize the 36-hour all-star recording and video session.
