The Dead Daisies, featuring veterans of Guns N' Roses, Thin Lizzy, INXS, and Whitesnake, will return this summer with a follow-up to last year's self-titled debut album.

The band's new EP, 'Face I Love,' is scheduled to arrive on August 5, and will be preceded with a single and Facebook app release of the title track on June 24. "'Face I Love' is dedicated to all music fans around the world, especially the Dead Daisies fans," enthused singer Jon Stevens in a press release. "Without you, we don't get to do what we do. It's like having a massive extended family seeing your smiling faces at our shows, and for us, that makes it all worthwhile."

Stevens, who served as the singer for INXS from 2000-03, formed the Dead Daisies with guitarist David Lowy in 2012. The band evolved into a name brand rock collective, adding GNR guitarist Richard Fortus and his fellow Guns alum Dizzy Reed on keyboards, as well as former Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake bassist Marco Mendoza. Most recently, drummer Brian Tichy, who's done tours of duty with Whitesnake, Foreigner, and Billy Idol, has joined the lineup.

"This is the first group of songs that Diz, Marco and I have recorded with the Daisies," added Fortus in the press release. "I haven't been this excited about a recording in a long, long time and think they really capture what the band has developed in to over the last year of touring. It's new music for classic rock fans!"

During the weeks leading up to the EP's arrival, the Dead Daisies will be on the road with Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Take a look at the first round of tour dates below, and keep an ear out for 'Face I Love' later this summer.
