Bruce Springsteen fans the world over were saddened by the sudden loss of beloved E Street saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who passed away June 18, days after suffering a massive stroke. The Big Man became an original member of what would become the E Street Band in 1972 and would later play on legendary Springsteen albums like ‘Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.,’ 'Born To Run' and ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ In an official statement, Springsteen said, “He loved the saxophone, loved our fans and gave everything he had every night he stepped on stage.”
