Chad Smith – October 2012 Classic Rock Birthdays

Get out your tube sock Halloween costumes, because Red Hot Chili Peppers and Chickenfoot drummer Chad Smith turns 51 on Oct. 25.

2012 has so far been a great year for RHCP, who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in April after a staggering 29 years of making music.

Since Smith joined the Peppers in 1988, the group has earned multiple Grammy awards and established themselves as one of rock's most original bands.

Over the years, Smith has experimented with quite a few side projects, including rock supergroup Chickenfoot, which also features Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Joe Satriani.
