Classic Rock at the Movies

Utter the name "Lloyd Dobler" to any woman who came of age in the late '80s, and chances are good she'll swoon a little, think of the movie 'Say Anything...,' and begin to hum Peter Gabriel's 'In Your Eyes.'

Wayne and Garth, the dorktastic duo from 'Wayne's World,' had a well-documented love of rock music, but perhaps no song is more synonymous with the pair than Queen's epic anthem 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'

Movies sometimes use music written specifically for the flick, but sometimes even older songs we know well can be used to great effect -- introducing them to a whole new audience along the way. And that's what 'Almost Famous' did with Elton John's 1971 classic, 'Tiny Dancer.'

In honor of our 2,000th article, we look at a great example of classic rock music enhancing an already excellent movie, in this case the Rolling Stones' 1967 chestnut '2,000 Man,' as used in the 1996 film 'Bottle Rocket.'
