Alternative-rock darlings Weezer have covered the Cars' 1984 hit 'You Might Think' for the soundtrack to the upcoming Pixar film 'Cars 2.' The track can also be heard in a new preview for the movie, which arrives June 24.

Weezer have a close history with Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, who produced two of the band's (so far) three self-titled discs, which have been nicknamed by their devoted fans as "The Blue Album" (1994) and "The Green Album" (2001).

'You Might Think' was one of several hits off the Cars' 1984 album 'Heartbeat City.' The track cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard singles chart, and its groundbreaking video won Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The Cars are currently on tour in support of 'Move Like This,' their first album in more than two decades. The trek wraps up May 26 in Boston. Weezer, meanwhile, have a series of gigs scheduled from late May through late August.
