This rocker pictured in this school photo was the drummer in a band that made a huge mark in rock music during the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Born December 1, 1944, he met two of his bandmates at a transcendental meditation lecture and the rest, as they say, is history. The group released a half-dozen albums that remain among the most popular and influential rock records of all time.
