Can You Guess the Artist in This Yearbook Photo?

YearbookPhotoII

This musician pictured in this yearbook photo was the pianist in a Southern rock band from 1972 until his death in 2009 at age 56. Does he look familiar to you, adorned with a cap and gown? Well, if he’s not instantly recognizable, let us provide some clues.

This yearbook photo was taken from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, Florida. It was 1971 and his senior year. Before joining one of rock’s most famous groups, he studied Music Theory in community college. He eventually joined the road crew of the band and later became a full-time member. That’s what we call a promotion!

He also once played piano on a Kid Rock Song. Sadly, he died of a heart attack at home a few years ago. His former bandmates later recorded a song in his honor. Think you know whose photo this is? Find out here!
