The English rocker pictured in this yearbook photo was born on March 25, 1947. He's a singer, songwriter, pianist and composer, who has straddled the line between pop and rock his entire life, to glorious results. He's also celebrated for his colorful style and stage attire.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 1994, and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in February of 1998, so he, just like yesterday's yearbook photo subject, is a "Sir."

He is also extremely active in LGBT causes, as he is openly gay himself. He has collaborated with everyone from Lady Gaga to the Muppets through the course of his prolific career, and he remains active to this day.
