This yearbook photo is of a student from the class of 1963 at El Cerrito High School in California. This future singer, songwriter and guitarist, who was born May 28, 1945 and went by his middle name (Cameron) at that time, met his future famous bandmates at this school.

After several years and a string of undeniably classic hit albums and singles, he left the group amid much acrimony, and has not returned. For a long time he didn't even play any of their music at his solo concerts, but even so, the band's musical legacy remains strong as an ox.

He has enjoyed considerable success as a solo artist as well, penning one of the most beloved baseball anthems in existence.
