One half of a terrific classic rock pairing, this singer/guitarist is much loved and considered an American treasure, thanks to his expansive catalog. He will turn 71 next month, but he is still active and touring, albeit not with his former partner, who is much taller than he!

He has won 12 Grammys, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree from Berklee College of Music and was once married to Princess Leia aka actress Carrie Fisher. That further ups his coolness ante, as if his songwriting prowess wasn’t enough.
