The rocker pictured in the school photo above is “Sir” to you and I, because, well, he’s earned it. He is one of the greatest songwriters of the modern era, and certainly one of the best still working and living today.

He just turned his birthday calendar over for the 70th time this year, but he remains active and vital, working on new albums, touring, composing video game music and recently marrying for the third time. While he does generate some tabloid coverage because of his messy second divorce, he remains revered in music circles.
