Those of us who grew up in the vinyl age can undoubtedly remember the fun encountered when we played around with the speeds on the turntable. Somebody has kept that spirit alive when he discovered that a Bruce Springsteen album played at 45rpm speed turns Springsteen's voice into that of Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.

Over at Gigwise, they've found a tweet from somebody with the username @chuchugoogoo, who posted a video of him playing Springsteen's "Racing in the Street" from the Darkness on the Edge of Town LP at the faster speed. "Holy s---," he wrote. "If you play Bruce Springsteen sped up to 45rpm he sounds EXACTLY like Stevie Nicks." Chuchugoogoo's profile picture is of Courtney Cox in the "Dancing in the Dark" video.

Springsteen recently concluded a three-month North American leg of The River 2016 tour, with two shows at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Those nights saw him honor the recently departed Prince with performances of "Purple Rain" on both nights, which mirrored his tributes to David Bowie and Glenn Frey from earlier on the tour. He also made headlines recently when he canceled a date in Greensboro, N.C., in protest of the state's controversial new law that he said "attacks the rights of LGBT citizens."

He begins a European leg on May 14 at the Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain that will keep him in the continent until July 31, when he plays the Stadion Letzigrund n Zurich, Switzerland. He has said that, unlike the North American concerts, they will not play his 1980 double-album The River in its entirety, although it will be heavily featured.
