Bret Michaels to Appear on ‘Revolution’ TV Show
After the apocalypse, only the strong will survive. And also apparently guitar-toting bandanna enthusiasts.
At least that's the gist of an upcoming episode of NBC's 'Revolution,' a post-apocalyptic serial drama about what happens after humanity's forced to deal with the sudden collapse of civilization. Chaos reigns, centralized government is a thing of the past and weekly cliffhangers are all anyone has left to live for -- but as our heroes are set to discover in a few weeks, ol' Bret Michaels is still around, and still singing 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn.'
While our bets would have been on Michaels' bandmate C.C. DeVille somehow making it to the end of days (and probably palling around with Keith Richards as a sort of dystopian future wandering-minstrel duo), ScreenCrush reports that the Poison frontman will appear as himself in the episode, during which he is indeed set to perform 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn.' "Bret is truly a great guy," enthused showrunner Eric Kripke. "I’m a huge fan of his music and I’m thrilled he’s appearing on 'Revolution.'"
This isn't Michaels' only TV rodeo, of course -- Poison fans no doubt recall his VH1 dating series 'Rock of Love,' as well as his appearances on 'Celebrity Apprentice' and 'Celebrity Ghost Stories' -- but his appearance on 'Revolution' marks the first time we've been asked to envision a future in which the singer of Poison manages to outlast electricity. Which is cooler, this or getting your own flavor of Snapple? Only Bret Michaels knows for sure.
