For those about to rock, do you recognize the name Ronald Belford Scott? You probably know him better as Bon Scott, the late frontman for AC/DC. Scott's unique nickname came about due to a childhood move to Australia and a crowded classroom.

When his family moved from Scotland to the Australian community of Sunshine, the future singer found that there was already another student in his class named Ronald. Needing some clarification, teachers and students latched on to the fact that he moved from Bonnie, Scotland and began to refer to him as "Bonnie Scott." From there, everyone just adopted the shortened name "Bon" when speaking to the future superstar.
