The mother of late AC/DC singer Bon Scott has died at the age of 94. Isa Scott was living in Western Australia at the time of her death, details of which were not available at press time.

Isa was a big AC/DC fan and attended concerts whenever feasible, but over the years remained very private in regards to the son’s famous band, only granting a few interviews. Her 2000 appearance in the AC/DC episode of VH1’s ‘Behind the Music’ was perhaps her most visible moment in the spotlight.

During the episode, Isa related the story of going to see AC/DC in 1988 in Melbourne after being inviting by the surviving members and their new singer, Brian Johnson. Record labels executives tried to warn Isa about the high-volume of the gig, but she was unfazed, replying, "that's all right, I know when the cannons appear."

Bon Scott died as the result of alcohol poisoning on Feb. 19, 1980 at the age of 33. Isa carried on for another 21 years, outliving her son by 61 years.
