You Tube

Last week it was reported that former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch took his own life, we now have learned a little more behind that sad and dramatic action.

It is being reported by Vintage Vinyl News that Welch took his own life after an unsuccessful spinal operation that apparently would have left him an invalid. Fearing he was never going to fully recover after having the procedure three months ago, the one time Fleetwood Mac guitarist took his own his life with a shotgun.

His body was found by his wife in their home along with a note in which he explained his decision. He said, refering to his wife Wendy, “I’m not going to do this to you.” Welch, age 66, had watched his mother care for his invalid father for years and apparently didn’t want the same fate for himself, or his family.
