Just weeks after postponing his scheduled 2017 tour due to an "urgent medical issue," Bob Seger has assured fans that all is well.

As previously reported, Seger was forced to reschedule shows in order to undergo surgery and fix a problem with his vertebrae — specifically one that was pinched in his neck, according to a press release for one postponed show.

The tour, which had been scheduled for late September through mid-November, is still in flux, but according to a recent Facebook post, fans can look forward to getting word regarding when it will actually get started.

"Bob is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery on Friday to address the medical issue causing the postponement of his tour," reads the Oct. 23 post. "According to his doctors the surgery 'couldn’t have gone better.' Bob wants to thank all his fans for the outpouring of well wishes and support. We hope to have news regarding dates for the tour soon."

In the meantime, Seger fans can look forward to the impending arrival of his new record I Knew You When, which is set to arrive in stores Nov. 17. The 10-song set, also available in a deluxe edition that adds three bonus tracks, blends Seger originals — some originally written during the period that produced his most recent LP, 2014's Ride Out — with covers like the record's first single, Seger's rendition of Lou Reed's "Busload of Faith."
