Thirty-five studio albums into his career and Bob Dylan seems like he's just getting started. On the eve of the release of his latest creation, 'Tempest,' Dylan opened three stores across the globe that offered the album to fans a day early. Los Angeles, New York City and London were the sites of these 'Bob Dylan Pop-Up Shops,' and hundreds of fans lined up to get their hands on 'Tempest.'

Arriving to the New York City store in the Meatpacking District around 3:45PM, we found there were about 100 fans standing in line, waiting for the doors to open. According to the official Facebook Event Page for the store, doors were supposed to swing open at 4:00PM. Unfortunately for those fans who skipped work early, the shop didn't open until about an hour after the scheduled time.

Boasting a plethora of merchandise -- including CDs, vinyl, t-shirts, posters, books and more -- those waiting in line had one thing and one thing only at the top of their shopping lists: a signed copy of 'Tempest.' The buzz in line focused on how many copies there would be in the store and how much would those autographed copies cost? Answers to both of those questions were answered almost immediately as the doors opened. With only 15 signed copies in-house, the hot ticket items sold-out in minutes (at the same cost as an unsigned copy of 'Tempest') to those who waited the longest, the first fan in line being there since 4:00AM.

While those who weren't lucky enough to get their hands on an autographed copy were definitely disappointed, there was still much to be seen and purchased inside the shop. From exclusive 'Tempest' t-shirts to vintage posters to boxes and boxes of Dylan CDs, the fans no doubt felt like kids in a candy store.

Aside from the somewhat underwhelming atmosphere of the shop - surely they could've had 'Tempest' playing in the background - the 'Bob Dylan Pop-Up Shop' was an enjoyable experience once the doors finally opened. If you missed out on the grand opening in New York City, Los Angeles or London, don't worry; the stores will be open 11:00AM-8:00PM through Sunday Sept. 16. Keep an eye on Dylan's Facebook page for all the details of the shops.
