If Bob Dylan is indeed planning a September release for his 35th studio album, then the fact that he's returning to North America in August is a good sign.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer kicks off a world tour June 30 in the U.K. at the Hop Farm Music Festival and will stay over in Europe for a majority of the summer. However, Consequence of Sound reports that he will make the jump across the pond on Aug. 10 to play the Exhibition Grounds in Lloydminster, Alberta, marking his first North American show of the summer.

After a few dates in Canada, Dylan will dive south of the border to start a U.S. run Aug. 14 in Missoula, Mont. The North American run carries over to a Sept. 1 conclusion in Big Flats, N.Y.

Los Lobos member David Hidalgo recently stated that he had contributed to a new album Dylan was working on. The news of new music was later confirmed by fan publication ISIS, who stated that members of the staff at Sony had enjoyed a listening party of the new music but were sworn to secrecy on details.

However, word has it that the still-untitled record is expected in September.
