The first debate of the presidential campaign between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump has gotten the Auto-Tune treatment from current-events songsmiths the Gregory Brothers — and an assist from Blondie's Deborah Harry and Chris Stein.

You can check it out in the video above, which uses footage from the Sept. 26 debate as the basis for the (admittedly pretty catchy) song — and incorporates a vocal hook from Harry as well as guitar work from Stein, whose playing is "interpreted" in the clip. "You know the rules. Whoever sings the best is the next president," says Harry before the song starts. "And whoever loses has to be content with their incredible wealth."

Neither Harry nor Stein declare a debate winner after it's over, although Harry does share her plans to have "a drink or 10" and Stein "says" he's going to light his stars-and-stripes guitar on fire. It won't change anyone's mind, but it's all pretty entertaining regardless of whichever candidate you're supporting this year.

Election antics aside, Blondie have been pretty busy in 2016. Earlier this year, the band revealed it's working on a new album, which will serve as the follow-up to 2014's Ghosts of Download. With producer John Congleton behind the boards, they've enlisted an array of intriguing collaborators, including Smiths co-founder Johnny Marr and pop stars Charli XCX and Sia. Although initially targeted for release this year, it's now rumored that the new LP will arrive in stores sometime in 2017.
