Blink-182's 2018 tour calendar will include less travel than usual: The band has just announced plans to settle in at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas for a residency scheduled to begin in late May and run through late in the year.

Rolling Stone reports that the group's current plans call for 16 dates in all, with the first booked for May 26. The Palms residency, titled "Kings of the Weekend," is then set to continue on "select weekends" until Nov. 17.

"When the Palms asked us to do a residency here in Vegas, we said 'Absolutely!'" enthused bassist Mark Hoppus in a press release. "Now, we just have to cast our showgirls, create our set list – a true throwback of Vegas classics with Sinatra, Liberace. Maybe we can even marry someone onstage ... The possibilities in Vegas are endless."

Blink-182's "Kings of the Weekend" residency continues the new era they started in early 2015, when Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker enlisted Alkaline Trio vet Matt Skiba to take over for departed frontman Tom DeLonge. The reconstituted lineup entered the studio to record the band's seventh album, California, which topped the charts upon its July 2016 arrival. The group's Palms shows mark their first dates since concluding their tour in support of California last year.
