Billy Joel's annual July 4th party gave him a chance to tell longtime girlfriend Alexis Roderick that he loves her just the way she is. Joel, 66, married Roderick tonight during an intimate event at his Long Island estate.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a longtime friend of Joel's, presided over the ceremony. Guests included actor Kevin James; Billy Joel's daughter Alex Ray from his earlier marriage to model Christie Brinkley was also on hand.

Joel and Roderick "surprised guests at their annual July 4th party by exchanging vows in front of their family and close friends," Joel's spokesman confirmed, in a talk tonight with People magazine.

Roderick, 33, is a former Morgan Stanley executive. She has been in a relationship with Joel since 2009; they are expecting their first child together this summer. "Billy is thrilled to become a dad again," another friend told People. They met at a restaurant in Huntington, N.Y., according to the New York Post.

Though various media reports have said they are expecting a girl, Joel's spokesman earlier said they have "opted to keep any further details of her pregnancy under wraps until their new addition makes an official debut."

A summer tour continues for Billy Joel, who appears in a sold-out stop at Fenway Park in Boston on July 16. He has been married three times before -- to Elizabeth Weber Small, Brinkley and, most recently, to Katie Lee.
