Cheap Trick guitar hero Rick Nielsen hits the big 65 today (Dec. 22). Known for his flash, flair and style as well as his kick-ass guitar playing, Rick is also responsible for most of the legendary band's songs as well!

Rick and the band just wrapped up yet another tour, including some European dates with Deep Purple. Actually, if you think about it, the band has never really been off the road for their 37-years-and-counting career. In fact, they've already got a bunch of dates set for 2012, and are talking about making yet another studio record.

When not busy circling the globe with the band, Nielsen can also be found in the back pages of Guitar Aficionado magazine, where he writes a column each issue about his incredible guitar collection. And we can't forget the band's plan to open a restaurant / museum / music venue in Chicago.

65 years young and still rocking full force. Hats off to you Mr. Nielsen, long may you rock!

Now it's up to you to decide -- What's your fave Cheap Trick song?! Could it be the all-time classic 'Surrender'? The worldwide smash 'I Want You To Want Me'? Or perhaps the blistering 'Auf Wiedersehen'?

Cast your vote and crank it up!
